Court Directs Tahshildar to Update Land Records Promptly, Warns of Strict Action for Delay

Before The High Court of Karnataka - Delay due to technical issues not a valid excuse, the court held, Tahshildar directed to promptly update land records in the favour of petitioner within six weeks wherein failure to comply would result in strict action. It is the duty to update records based on registered sale deed as the petitioner sought to mutate her name in land records under Section 128 of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964, after purchasing land through a registered sale deed in 2009.
